Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 183S and East River Oaks Drive Friday morning at approximately 7:30am.  A collision occurred between a Chevy passenger car and a Dodge extended cab dually pickup.

The passenger car received significant front-end damage while the pickup sustained moderate damage to the rear of the vehicle.

Police report that the pickup was traveling south on Highway 183S and slowed down to turn on to East River Oaks when it was struck by the passenger car.  The drivers of each vehicle were transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
