Glenda Peel

PeelGlendaLeeFuneral services for Glenda Peel, 73, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 27, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on October 26, at the funeral home.

Ms. Peel passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at her home in Brownwood, surrounded by loved ones.

Glenda Lee Holland was born on August 30, 1939, in Waxahachie Texas to Clarence and Stella Holland and was raised and attended school in the Brownwood area. Glenda was known as a very loving and giving person that would help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Sammy Pyburn of Brownwood and Shirley Phillips and husband Jack also of Brownwood; her mother, Stella Holland of Eastland; brothers, Tommy Holland of Brownwood and Elmer Holland of Abilene; sisters Maxine Spivey of Comanche, Betty Peel of Corpus Christi, Wanda Tiner of Cisco and Brenda Holland of Brownwood. She is also survived by one grandchild, Christina Bates, one great grand-daughter, Joanna Neff and one great-great grandchild, Jayleigh Neff.

She was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Pyburn; grandson, Joey Neff; and siblings, Mary Minton, Joe Holland, Charles Holland, and Jimmy Holland.
