John David Hill

John David Hill, 79, of Novice, died Monday, May 24, 2021 at Coleman County Medical Center.  A graveside memorial service with inurnment at Rough Creek Cemetery near Novice will take place at a later date.

John David Hill was born September 11, 1941 in Danville, Arkansas to Floyd Thomas Hill and Barbara Coffer Hill.  He grew up and attended school in Arkansas and in Texas.  He was a welder by trade and worked as a forklift mechanic for United Rentals in Dallas.  John retired in 1999 and soon after moved to Novice.  He enjoyed woodworking and carving.  He was a good person to everyone he met and loved the company of his dogs, Trump and Susie.  On Sundays, John would watch church services on his television.

John is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Floyd T. Hill, Wesley Ray Hill, Christopher Hill and R.L. Hill.

He is survived by his two sons, Michael Shane Hill of Novice, Justin Wade Hill of Novice; his sister, Shirley Elmore of Coleman County; three grandchildren Colton Shane Hill of Aubrey, Texas, Ashley Hill of Garland, Kameron Hill of Lewisville; three great grandchildren, Marley Jones Hill of Southlake, Max Hill of Southlake and Eleana Hill of Lewisville.  Also surviving are his nieces and nephews including Debbie Konecny of Novice, James Allen Millican of Novice, Mathew Millican of Carrollton; great niece and great nephew, Brandon Ponce of Fort Worth, Cassie Hollingsworth of Midlothian and the mother of his children, Deanna Whitlock of Novice.
