Sandford offering instruction through Hitman Baseball Academy

Blake Sandford

Blake Sandford – former Brownwood and Early High School head baseball coach – is now offering lessons through his Hitman Baseball Academy.

  • Details regarding the instruction are as follows:
  • Systematic and individualized
  • Specializing in skill development
  • All players will be placed in a database which will be made available to college coaches and scouts
  • Family approach informs parents/guardians of collegiate recruiting process and pro scouting
  • 20-plus years of research and knowledge allows for a practical and healthy approach to reach all aspects of the game (pitching, catching, hitting, fielding)
  • Expert advice for age appropriate exercises to enhance performance and stay healthy
  • Teaches an understanding of the mental and emotional component of the game and strategies to deal with each in order to boost confidence

Along with his high school coaching experience, Sandford has served as a scout for the New York Yankees and the Cincinnati Reds. He’s a UIL Sponsor Excellence Award winner, an All-West Texas Coach of the Year winner, and a three-time district coach of the year.

Little league through high school sessions are available by appointment only. The cost for a 12-month membership is $200 or $100 or three months. A half-hour of hitting/pitching is $30 for members and $45 for non-members. Practices with entire little league team can also be held at a cost of $10 per athlete per hour.
