The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of 5/12/21:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

Fishing is excellent.  Water lightly stained; 73 degrees; 1.79 feet low.

Largemouth bass are good with wacky worms, bladed spinners, crankbaits, and jigs.  Fish in coves, along grass lines, and timber in water ranging from 2-12 feet in depth.

Crappie are good on minnows in brush piles and near bridge pilings.

White bass and hybrids are excellent in the main lake channel, humps, and ridges using spoons, swimbaits, and live bait.  Look for birds diving over feeding schools of white bass.

Catfish are excellent on cut bait, chicken liver, and live bait in water ranging from 3-10 feet.

LAKE CISCO

Fishing is good.  Water lightly stained; 66 degrees; 5.29 feet low.

Largemouth bass are good fishing still above the cooler deep water on topwater, spinners, worms, and crankbait finding the points with vegetation on the floor.

Sunfish are good on cutworms and under human-made structures at night, especially shallow depths.

Crappie are fair on jigs using creek structures.

Catfish are fair with slowing movement on stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and chicken livers night and day.

LAKE COLEMAN

Fishing is good.  Water slightly stained; 69 degrees; 3.47 feet low.

Hybrid stripers are good on rattletraps and live bait, moving quickly with lasting spells coming in skinny coves.

Largemouth bass are good on topwater and diving crankbaits to mix up the environments using the drops that start around 6-8 feet and using topwater in calmer, less sunny conditions.

Catfish are fair using stinkbait and cut bait around cove entrances within 4-feet of the bottom.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

Fishing is fair.  Water clear; 66 degrees; 13.52 feet low.

Black bass are good with topwater, worms, spinners, and crankbaits searching brush, ledges, some feeding points.

Crappie are fair on live minnows close to structure.

Catfish are good on stinkbait, live, and cut bait.

LAKE PROCTOR

Fishing is good.  Water stained; 72 degrees; 3.40 feet high.

Largemouth bass are good on flukes, frogs, buzz baits, and crankbaits near main lake points, coves, and shorelines in water ranging 3-15 feet in depth.

Hybrid stripers are good with live bait in the main lake around at water depths ranging 25-40 feet.
