Tula Simmons, age 81, of Lake Brownwood passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood.

Graveside Services for Tula will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the Windham Cemetery with Pastor Kelly Crenshaw officiating. There is no set visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Tula was born on August 1, 1939, in Brown County and remained a life-time resident. She worked at The Red Wagon for many years.

Tula is survived by 2 sons, Tommy Simmons and John Simmons both of Brownwood; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marie Hays of Brownwood and Betty Harris of Burkett; 2 brothers, O.J. Purcell and Mike Purcell both of Brownwood. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Simmons; son, Robert Simmons; and her parents.
