Brownwood
EXCELLENT. Water lightly stained; 63 degrees; 3.50 low. Largemouth bass are excellent with chatter baits, frogs, bladed spinners, crankbaits, and finesse jigs in coves, shorelines, and timber in 2-10’. Crappie are good on minnows in brush piles, near bridge pilings, and in the creeks. White bass and hybrids are excellent on spoons and swimbaits on main lake points, humps, and ridges. Catfish are excellent on punch bait, chicken liver, and cut bait in 3-10’.
Cisco
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 61 degrees; 6.14’ low. Largemouth bass are good as we ride the spring weather rollercoaster. We have had 30s to high 80s the past week, so conditions have varied with a small stall in spawn staying shallow below 8 feet using all the lakes bank structures on spinners, worms, and crankbait. Sunfish are good at biting on nightcrawlers and cutworms in calm shallow structures and banks. Crappie are fair on jigs using creeks and structures. Catfish are fair with slowing movement on stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and chicken livers night and day.
Coleman
GOOD. Slightly stained. 62 degrees. 3.59’ low. Hybrid stripers are fair to good on rattletraps in lighter mirrored colors, the following baitfish into shallower water catching around 4-8 feet as they move. Largemouth bass are good on worms, topwater, and crankbaits searching below 8 feet in structures not wandering far from spawning spots. Catfish are fair using stinkbait and cut bait around cove entrances within 4 feet of the bottom.
O.H. Ivie
FAIR. Water clear; 64 degrees; 13.48’ low. Black bass are good on timber, flipping worms and trolling through standing timber. Spinners and occasional topwater have success as well. Crappie are fair on live minnows in creeks and calm water. Catfish are good on stinkbait, live, and cut bait.
Proctor
GOOD. Water lightly stained, 64 degrees; 0.61 low. Largemouth bass are good on topwater, swimbaits, crankbaits, frogs, and craws near main lake points, coves, and shorelines. Hybrid stripers are fair with swimbaits and live bait in the main lake around 35-45’. Crappie are good with minnows near creeks, shallow timber and brush. Catfish are good on chicken liver, cut bait, and punch bait.
