Update – Organizers for the search effort announced that there will now be two search times on Sunday.  The first meeting will be at 9am at Coggin Park and the second will be at 2pm.  Those interested can join one or both meetings at Coggin Park.

Original Info – Friends of missing Brownwood woman Michele Reiter are organizing a search party on Sunday to search land in Brown County.

Anyone interested in volunteering in the search are asked to meet at Coggin Park on Sunday morning at 9am.  There will be a briefing before splitting into groups.

“We ask all people that want to help to make sure they are there by 9, and hopefully they have a buddy,” said search organizer Erocia Poindexter.

The group is also asking that any property owners with large amounts of land go out and drive their properties to look for any clues to Reiter’s whereabouts.

Searchers are asked to not touch any potential evidence found and call the Brownwood Police Department at 325-646-2525 immediately.

Brownwood Police said Friday that they are continuing their investigation, but are not releasing any details in the case.  Police, with help from other law enforcement agencies, have also been searching land in the area.

Reiter, 38, was last seen on September 10th, and according to police reports, Reiter’s roommate reported her missing on September 11th after Reiter did not come home for the night.  She also did not report for work that morning at Home Depot, where she had worked for approximately 4 years. The missing Brownwood woman’s vehicle was found Wednesday, September 13th at the Bert Massey Sports Complex.
