AgriLifeExtensionIf you have any interest in knowing about the plants that are in your pasture then mark your calendar for Monday October 1, 2012. That is the date of a Pasture Plant Identification / Tour. It will be held at the Burns Ranch located approximately 13 miles of Early on Highway 183 North or 5 miles south of May on Highway 183 ( look for the rock gate entrance on the east side of the highway). The program / tour will begin at 4:00p.m. This program is being conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Brown County Office. It is open to anyone interested.

Ricky Linex, Wildlife Biologist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service will provide instruction on pasture plant identification. Dr. Paul Burns will discuss their ranch management and pasture reseeding techniques. Program participants will tour part of the Burns Ranch. If you want to really see what reseeded pastures can look like then make plans now to attend this program and tour.

Two (2) CEUs will be offered to licensed pesticide applicators. There will be a $10 registration fee payable there. For more information contact the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Office in Brownwood at 325-646-0386.
