Three COVID deaths, 31 positive results in the last week

For the week of  Feb. 26-March 5, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 31 positive COVID-19 test results, 36 negative, and 71 recoveries. Of the 31 positives,  23 were PCR, and 8 were antigen. There are currently 5 hospitalized in Brown County. Three deaths were reported: two males in their 60s, not residents of a nursing facility, and one male in his 70s, also not a resident of a nursing facility. 

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 3,627 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 1,284 people vaccinated with both doses.  30,883 is the estimated for vaccination.

Upcoming COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Information: 

A COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic is scheduled for March 9th from 9:00AM – 4:30PM with appointments starting at 10AM.  To be added to the contact list, please visit: http://bit.ly/3rqtsRi

Please note: Emails for the 1st Dose Clinic next week will be going out and registration should be open Saturday morning. Individuals currently on the registration list need to check their email AND their SPAM/JUNK folders as some of the emails may go there. Also, the email will contain a link to follow to register for the clinic. If an email invitation is received, the registrant is urged to register ASAP to ensure an appointment; if the available appointments are all taken, the registrant will be pushed to a future invitation block.
