A memorial service for Helen E. Vinson, of Blanket, will be held at 10:45 AM, Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 in the Blanket Church of Christ with Gary Hounshell officiating.

Helen passed from this life on September 1, 2012 at her home.

Helen was born on September 5, 1941 in DeLeon to Frederick and Helen Harmon.  She lived most of her life in Brownwood before moving to Blanket where she was a member of the Church of Christ.  Helen worked for many years in the laundry department of Brownwood Regional Medical Center.  She was a quiet person who spent a majority of her time reading books and caring for her animals.  A special thanks to the many friends and neighbors who went out of their way to visit Helen on holidays and take her gifts and kind words; especially from the Blanket community and her church.

Helen was laid to rest next to her parents in Greenleaf Cemetery.
