James Marvin (Jim) Stell, age 72, passed from this life to the arms of Jesus on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his residence.

Family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Jim was born November 17, 1948, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, the only son of Marvin M.  and Hazel (Dollie) P. James Stell.  Although he was not born a Texan, he got here as quickly as he could. He was 6 weeks old when he and his parents moved to Coleman, Texas, where they remained.

He attended South Ward School, Coleman Junior High School, and graduated from Coleman High School in 1967.  After serving in the U.S. Army in Korea, he worked as a welder in Odessa, Texas, until his retirement in 2011, when he moved back to Coleman.

He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by one uncle, Ben (Patt) Stell of Coleman, two cousins, Ben G. Dunn (Rosemary) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Diann Dillingham of Coleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
