GRAHAM – Playing their first match since Jan. 29, the Brownwood Lady Lions showed no signs of rust as they walloped the Graham Lady Blues, 7-0, Tuesday night in the District 4-4A girls soccer opener for both teams.

Molly Oliver and Kennedi Johnson both recorded hat tricks for the Lady Lions (7-2, 1-0), tallying three goals apiece. Ataleigh Constancio found the net as well for Brownwood.

The Lady Lions will be back in action at 5:15 p.m. Friday as they welcome Mineral Wells to Gordon Wood Stadium – where they are 4-0 this season – for their district home opener.

Also Tuesday night, the Lions dropped their District 4-4A soccer opener at home to Graham, 1-0.

The Lions (2-10, 0-1) host Mineral Wells at 7 p.m. Friday.
