Brownwood Fire Department responded to a small fire in the 200 block of Main Street Tuesday shortly before noon.

At approximately 11:56pm, firefighters were dispatched to the U-Haul rental business on Main, regarding reports that the back of the small single story building was on fire.  It appeared that an area around a metal beam within the building had burned.  Firefighters arrived to find the fire out and minimal damage to the building, mostly smoke.

BFD investigated and made sure the fire was completely extinguished.
