Howard Payne University senior Alexis Sullivan was named the American Southwest Conference West Division Hitter of the Week, the league office announce along with its other weekly softball awards.

WEST DIVISION HITTER OF THE WEEK – Alexis Sullivan
Howard Payne senior right fielder Alexis Sullivan (Brea, Calif.) opened the season hitting .667 (4-for-6) with four runs, a double, a home run and four RBI in a split at Schreiner. She was 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, double and a homer in the 10-1 win against the Mountaineers. Sullivan had an RBI and a run scored in a 3-2 loss in the nightcap. This is Sullivan’s second career Hitter of the Week award.
