Brownwood Lions fans were introduced to the 2012 fall sports teams for Brownwood middle and high school at Gordon Wood Stadium Monday evening. The annual “Meet the Lions” event was kicked off with a hamburger supper and booster club fundraising time as fans were greeted with some great food to start the new school year.
Athletes and their coaches from cross country, volleyball, tennis, and football were recognized along with the cheerleading squads, drill team, and the Lion Crew. The Mighty Maroon Marching Band was also on hand showing off their musical talents.
The Brownwood Lions varsity football team was introduced as the grand finale to the event. The team will play in the season’s first home game this Friday as they take on Graham at 7:30pm at Gordon Wood Stadium.
