Martin Earl Horrell, 51, of Blanket passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021. A graveside service will be held in the Rising Star Cemetery, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 3:00 PM officiated by Terry Simmons and directed by Heartland Funeral Home.

Marty was born May 9, 1969 in Odessa to James Davis and Dorothy Horrell. He attended Rising Star High School and worked in maintenance for a health care facility. Marty was passionate about antique cars and loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. His favorite past time was playing cards and board games with his family and friends, or riding and working on dirt bikes and four wheelers. Marty had a knack for technology and a mild fascination with video games. His favorite thing in the world was spoiling his nephews, niece and their friends to any luxury he could.

Marty is survived by his mother, Dorthy Horrell of Blanket; sister, Carol Larkin and husband Arthur of Blanket; brother, Jimmy Horrell of South Carolina; uncle, Jerry Horrell of Abilene; aunt, Judy Lee and Husband James of Savannah, Georgia; and several very special nephews, a niece and friends.

Marty was preceded in death by his father, James “Jimmy” Davis Horrell and a half-brother, Johnny Garrison.

Online condolences, memorials and tributes can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
