Law Enforcement Blotter 8/24

LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday and Friday, August 23-24, 2012.

Wednesday, August 22

*7:59am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Lane Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated his cell phone was stolen overnight.

*10:36am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Fisk Avenue regarding a juvenile problem.  According to the report, contact was made with the reporting party and after an investigation, a juvenile was released to her guardian.

*4:25pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding lost property.  According to the report, the calling party reported losing her gold watch somewhere in the store between the hours of 11:00am and 12:00pm.

*5:15pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding identity theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person fraudulently used her social security number on September 3, 2010 to obtain a loan or credit from Wells Fargo Bank somewhere in Texas.

*Brownwood Police arrested 38-year-old Jason Todd Baker for Violation of a Protective Order.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Brandon Monroe for Evading Arrest and on two Brown County warrants.

Thursday, August 23

*9:02am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a stolen BBQ grill.

*11:14am-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Belfast Drive regarding a stolen vehicle.  According to the complainant, she had left her vehicle at a friend’s house so that he could perform maintenance on it.  The work was finished and the vehicle left until the next day for the complainant to pickup; however, the next morning, the friend woke to find the vehicle missing.  A suspect has been named although no arrest has been made at the time of the report.  The vehicle is valued at $6600.

*11:32am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding stolen property.  According to the report, a complainant advised of a burglary which occurred on August 12th.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 63-year-old James Paul Shelton of Brownwood for Driving While Intoxicated with Open Container.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Gary Dean Coleman of San Angelo for Public Intoxication.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 30-year-old Alysia Oliver for Failure to Identify and three outstanding warrants from Ellis and McCullough Counties.

*Early Police arrested 18-year-old Nicholas Shade Salinas for No Drivers License.

Friday, August 24

*12:53am-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on FM 1467 regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the victim stated that she and a male, identified as 34-year-old Nathaniel Webb had gotten into an argument and before she could drive him back to Brownwood, he got aggressive and damaged the hood and windshield of her vehicle and fled on foot.  Webb was located walking along FM 1467 and denied damaging the vehicle; however was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for Public Intoxication and issued a criminal trespass warning for the victim’s residence.  A warrant will be sought for the criminal mischief, the report states.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
