Brett McKibben, Chief Appraiser of the Brown County Appraisal District, released the following statement Monday morning regarding their office being closed this week.

Due to a positive Covid-19 test among the staff, the Brown County Appraisal District will be closed this week, Jan. 11-15

If you need to conduct business, personnel will be available to assist you by calling the appraisal office at 325-643-5676 or by emailing appraisal@brown-cad.org during normal business hours.

As a reminder, many questions can be answered by visiting their website at www.brown-cad.org.

They strongly encourage that payments be made by mail or via the website. If you feel you must make your payment at the office, a drop box is available. Payments will be processed during this closure.

As a reminder, in order to avoid late penalties and interest, state law mandates that payments be received or postmarked no later than Feb. 1.
