On Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 84 positive COVID-19 test results, 135 negative, 72 recoveries and 2 deaths. Of the 84 positives, 27 were PCR, and 57 were antigen. There are currently 19 hospitalized in Brown County.  The reported deaths were a male in his 80s from a nursing home, and a male in his 60s not from a nursing home. Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will be in Brownwood on Thursday, January 7th from 10 am to 4 pm at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
