The City of Brownwood posted the following on its Facebook page Monday:

The Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) team with the Brownwood Health Department has received the 2020 City of Brownwood Core Value “Service Hero” Award for providing tremendous service to safeguard the health of the citizens of Brownwood and Brown County and demonstrating a high level of care and empathy towards the public.

The City of Brownwood Core Values are represented by “I S.E.R.V.E.” standing for Integrity, Service, Excellence, Respect, Vision, and Empathy.
