SoccerballStockPhotoRegistrations are now being accepted for this year’s Soccer for Fun and will run through September 3rd.

Organizers state that registration is $17 per child and that it is important to register on time, as no late registrations will be accepted.  Registration includes a team shirt, free drink after each game and a trophy at the end of the season.

Registration forms are available at Weakley Watson Sporting Goods and Adams Street Community Center.  To print a form, click here.

Forms can be returned to Weakley Watson’s Sporting Goods and to a drop box at 208 Sunnydale Drive (next to Sonic) in Early.

Organizers state that Soccer for Fun is growing and that they are looking for volunteers to help with this year’s league.

“Our league has really grown the last couple of years, and we are extremely excited about this season.  We are looking for volunteers to work in the concession stand, coaches, and referees,” said Jill Stephens of Soccer For Fun.  “We also want to thank Bruner Auto Group and the Lake Brownwood Lions Club for their help and support the last couple of years.”

Since 1982 Soccer For Fun has been a volunteer league and survives on community/parental support during the year.  Soccer For Fun is about giving children an opportunity to make friends, develop basic and advanced skills, and most of all teamwork, an essential key to building character on and off the fields.  Soccer For Fun encourages parents to get involved with their child and their child’s team.
