Collecting Cards of Support for Navy Medic Cody Williams Continues Through Friday

codywilliams2The Military & Family Support Committee, VFW Post 3278 Ladies Auxiliary and the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce are asking the community for cards of support for a Navy medic from Brownwood who was recently injured in the line of duty.

Petty Officer First Class Cody Williams, United States Navy was recently injured when the Humvee he was riding in was hit by an IED while he was deployed to Afghanistan.

According to the family, Cody continues to recover is starting outpatient therapy at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, California.

Cody graduated from Brownwood High School in 2004 and joined the Navy after graduation.  He served two tours in Iraq prior to deployment to Afghanistan.

Cards of support can be dropped off at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce office (600 E. Depot) for Cody and his family.  Cards need to be at the Chamber office by Friday, August 3rd and will be delivered to Cody and his family.

Anyone with questions or who needs cards picked up can call Joyce Leidig at 325-784-5014.
