Real estate firm Coldwell Banker, Mark Campbell & Associates is carrying on their 4th of July tradition that they started back in 1998 by distributing small flags across the community.

Agents, staff, friends and relatives of the company along with numerous volunteers distributed about 7000 flags to homes Tuesday night in Brownwood and Early; placing them in front yards along the city streets.

“The whole event has gotten better every year,” said owner/broker Mark Campbell.  “This is a great year with the help of all of these kids and families.”

Area residents should wake up Wednesday morning and enjoy the streets lined with flags.  Campbell said that he loves driving down the city streets and seeing flags “everywhere you look.”  Over the years, Coldwell Banker has received countless “thank you” cards and notes from residents around the community expressing their gratitude.

A cookout was held Tuesday evening for the volunteers before they hit the streets to distribute the flags.
