The Brownwood Fire Department responded to a call of a car fire Tuesday evening near the intersection of Avenue C and 21st Street.
Also Tuesday afternoon and evening, firefighters from departments across the county responded to a rash of grass fires. The fires ranged in size, but as of 7:30 p.m. the number of fires, their causes and the amount of damage was unknown.
On Monday, multiple grass fires across from 3M on U.S. 377 South resulted in more than 30 units responding from throughout the county.
