Karen Jayroe Dossey passed away peacefully on June 5, 2020.  She was born in Lamesa, Texas on February 10, 1940.

Karen grew up in Welch, Texas and she had very fond memories of her family, childhood and school friends.  The family moved to Lamesa where she met and married Kenneth Ray “Stubby” Dossey.  She enjoyed her home and cooking for her family.  She had a love for fashion and makeup and this along with her smile, quick wit and love of laughter will be remembered.  Her sense of humor will live on in those who knew her.

Karen is survived by her sister Paula McCullar; her daughter and spouse, Debra and Bob Keehn; her son and spouse Lonnie and Norma Dossey; her 5 granddaughters Ashely Dossey, Danielle Keehn, Kourtney Edgar, Alexandra Keehn and Christie Dossey and her great grandchildren Addalynne, Emmalynne, Leila and Anthony (Pee Wee) along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Dossey, her mother Lillian Elizabeth McCullar, her father W Joe Jayroe, her step-father Hubert Allen McCullar and her brother Ronald Wade Jayroe.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 10 at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Texas at 10:00 a.m.  Viewing is available until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.
