Shortly after 2:00pm Monday, Brownwood Fire and Police Departments responded to the 200 block of E. Commerce, McDonalds, to a bomb threat.

Customers were evacuated as emergency responders searched the property.  Traffic was diverted from in front of the restaurant while the property was checked.  About 40 minutes later, police gave the thumbs up that everything was okay.  No bomb was found.

The property was cleared and McDonalds was able to return to business as usual.
