Bill Johnson, 84, of McAllen, Texas, and formerly of San Saba, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 in McAllen, Texas. Bill served in the United States Army in WWII.  He was a native of San Saba, where he was married to Jymmie Sloan.  Three children were born to this union, Amy, Bob, and Sue.  Bill worked as a general contractor in San Saba before making his home in McAllen, Texas.  Later, Bill was married to Mary Ann and from this union there were born two sons, Carter and Todd.

He is survived by his children, Amy Shaw and her husband Danny Wayne of San Saba, Bob Johnson and his wife Pennye of San Saba, Sue Crawford of San Saba, and Todd Johnson of McAllen; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Charlie Taylor; two sisters, Clydene Dunham and Eunice Miller; one son, Carter Johnson; and his wife Mary Ann Johnson.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 10, 2012, at 3:00 P.M. at the San Saba Cemetery with Reverend Tom Brand officiating.  Blaylock Funeral Chapel of San Saba is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may sign the guestbook at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
