Maria Mata of Coleman, Texas passed from this life on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2:15 pm peacefully at her residence in Coleman surrounded by her family.

Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Chapel with Bro Ismael Ceniceros officiating.  Interment will follow at Coleman City Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 7:00 till 8:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.

She was born Maria Santiaga Martinez on May 23, 1933 in Derango, Mexico to Francisco Martinez and Elpidia Guzman.  Maria was raised in Mexico and was a resident of Coleman the past 23 years.  On May 19, 1956 Maria married Francisco Raul Mata and he has preceded her in death.  Maria was a housewife taking care of her home and family.

3 Sons – Carlos & wife Lelicia Mata of Coleman, Texas

Jose Luis and wife Maria Mata of Denver City, Texas

Jose C. & wife Josefina Mata of El Paso, Texas

Daughter-in-law – Sandra Mata of Coleman, Texas

Sister – Amadina Peregrino of Wichita Falls, Texas

Brother – Mario Martinez of Juarez, Mexico

Several Nieces and Nephews

Maria was preceded in death by
