Maria Cuellar was born in Taft, Texas to Tirso and Guadalupe Cuellar on October 13, 1946.  She was raised in Hereford and later met and married John Paul Espinoza in Las Cruces, NM on June 6, 1970.   Maria was a wonderful artist and loved to paint and doing pencil art.  Maria had many talents and spoke 3 languages (English, Spanish and Sign Language). Maria was a wonderful cook and enjoyed showing others how much she cared or loved them with her food.  Maria did many things throughout her life to support her family.  Maria was the accounts manager for Espinoza Construction, a teacher’s aide at J.B. Stephens Elementary, a Realtor for Coldwell Banker for 14 years and spent many years at TYC.  Later in her life, Maria spent many years as a foster parent and giving back to her community in ways she found meaningful.  Maria held a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Howard Payne University.

Maria is survived by her three sons, Jason and wife Stacy and their three daughters, Megan, Lauren and Braelyn all of Brownwood, Tim and his wife Melissa and their two sons Blaize, Slayde and daughter Maddox of Brownwood and Jim with wife Brec and sons Santanna, Luke, Lance and Levi of Brownwood, a great-granddaughter, Ava Skye and soon to be expected Lorenzo Jude.   Maria is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters.

Maria and John were members of First Christian Church of Brownwood.  She was a devout Christian, loving wife, mother and amazing grandparent.  Those that knew her, loved her and she will be missed.  Maria left this earth and was reunited with her late husband John Espinoza on December 5, 2018.

A Life Celebration Service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 3pm at First Christian Church and all those who knew Maria are invited to attend.

The family would like to thank Chelsey Allen, Lillie Walters, Terri Bastardo, Sara Berger, Susan Ruiz, Kim Crockett, Karen Lea and many others at Care Nursing and Rehab and Dr. David Morales.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Pearl Griffin Memorial Latch Key Program, PO Box 2121, Brownwood, 76804.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
