Garry D. Purcell

PurcellGarryFuneral services for Garry D. Purcell, 73, of Bangs will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 16, 2016 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Bangs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Saturday at the funeral home.  Mr. Purcell passed away Friday, October 16, 2016.

Garry was born March 24, 1943 to William M. and Linnie E. (Horton) Purcell in Brownwood.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  On June 10, 1965, Garry married Anita Gayle Knight.  He worked at Brownwood Regional Medical Center for 34 years and was a member of the Bangs Volunteer Fired Department for 32 years.  Garry loved to go fishing and hunting.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Anita Purcell of Bangs; son, James Purcell of Goldthwaite; daughter, Kim Loflin of Corsicana; grandchildren, Taylor Loflin, Tommy J. Purcell and Brittianey Purcell and sister, Ethel Hill of Brownwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy Purcell, Dale Purcell and Billy Purcell and sister, Wanda Purcell.
