Early Pioneer Days Hot Dog Eating Contest Set for Sept. 17th, Registration Underway

EarlyPioneerDaysLogoEarly Pioneer Days is set to kick off on September 16th and 17th with family fun, competitions and concerts on Saturday night at the Early City Park.

The Hot Dog Eating Contest, sponsored by United Supermarket, will be held from 4-5 p.m. on September 17th.  All contestants must enter prior to noon September 17th.  Registration will be limited to 32 entrants on a first come first serve basis.

Those participating are challenged to eat five hot dogs as fast as they can, within three minutes.  The first person to eat 5 hot dogs within the fastest time will win the contest.  Hot dogs must be eaten completely and swallowed, with no dropping, spilling, or spitting out in any manner.  Contestants can use their hands to eat the hot dogs.
