The Brownwood Country Club will host the ARK Classic, Adams Pro Golf Tour tournament and junior golf clinic, on September 19-24, which will benefit the ARK domestic violence and sexual assault shelter.  Scramble registration is underway and volunteers and sponsors are being sought.

The Adams Pro Tour provides an avenue for professional golfers to hone their skills while preparing for a life on the PGA Tour, they partner with local non-profits and raise thousands of dollars for charity each year.  Graduating several players to the PGA Tour and Web.com Tour (such as Bubba Watson, Ryan Palmer, Cameron Beckman, Tim Herron, J.L. Lewis and Mark Hensby), they are proud to announce their newest host club, Brownwood Country Club.  The week will feature a Pro-Am Golf Tournament, Junior Golf clinic hosted by the Adams Tour Pros, a “Support the ARK & meet the Pros” Social and some spectacular competitive golf Wednesday through Saturday.

The golf scramble will begin at 9 a.m. off of the #1 tee, starting times will be assigned in 9 minute intervals.

Teams of four, made up of four amateurs and one Adams Tour Professional will play in the following format.  All players will tee off and choose the best tee shot (including the Pro’s shot), from that location each player will play their own ball into the hole.  The best gross and best net ball of the foursome will count.

Cost to participate is $100 per amateur, which includes golf, range balls, golf shirt, lunch, prizes and the opportunity to play with an Adams Tour Professional.  The field will be limited to 25 teams (75 amateurs, so those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up early.  Sign up as a team of three or as an individual (organizers will pair up individuals into teams).

Sponsorships are still available and range from $150 to $7500 levels.
