Wednesday, May 11

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property near Lake Brownwood regarding the burglary of habitation.  According to the report, contact was made with the homeowner who advised that several firearms had been taken and a possible suspect was listed.

Thursday, May 12

*7:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Phillips regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the suspect hit the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene; however, the victim was able to identify the suspect since he was a relative of the victim.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report via telephone of missing livestock.  According to the report, the livestock had been missing since December of last year.  The deputy took a report in case someone reports finding them in the future, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Brown County Water District’s Lake Patrol regarding an abandoned vehicle in Thrifty Park at the edge of the Jim Ned Creek.  According to the report, the vehicle was up on blocks, and was reported to be missing the tires and wheels.  The vehicle was towed from the area, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Jack Edmond Coffey of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to maintain financial responsibility, expired license plate, and driving while license expired.

*Brownwood Police arrested 40-year-old James Mathew Duncan of Brownwood on warrants related to surety withdrawals for driving while intoxicated 2nd and resist arrest search or transport.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 27-year-old Eddie Malon James of Brownwood on warrants related to two counts of failure to appear/bail jumping and two counts of minor in possession.

*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 30-year-old Stacy Gauna Mauricio of Cross Plains for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Deana Kay Young of Lubbock on warrants related to motion to adjudicate/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

Friday, May 13

*12:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Schroeder Lane regarding a domestic disturbance.  The incident was documented after the officer spoke to both parties involved.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement jail records.
