VanCleavePatFuneral Services for Pat Van Cleave, 72, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Heartland Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Van Cleave passed away Friday,  July 15, 2011 at her home.

Patricia Eileen Van Cleave was born on April 21, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to Patrick and Ruth Boyer Farris.  She grew up and attended school in Maplewood, Missouri.  On August 30, 1986 she married Dennis Van Cleave in Austin.  Pat received her masters in Sociology from St. Edwards University in Austin.  They moved to Brownwood on November 2, 2003 and attend the Victory Life Baptist Church.  She loved to cook, garden, crochet, sew and read.

Survivors include:  Husband, Dennis Van Cleave of Brownwood;  Daughters, Debra Wells & husband Jonathan of Kyle, Texas and Cheryl Welsch of Hazelwood, Missouri; Sons, Lenny Bauer of St. Louis, Missouri and Oliver Bauer of London, England; Step daughter, Rachel Schottland and husband Joe of Pleasanthill, California; Nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter; and Brother, Mike Farris of  Merlin, Oregon.

Preceded in death by her parents.
