The Howard Payne men’s tennis team defeated visiting University of Massachusetts – Boston 9-0 in non-conference team play at the Nabors Tennis Center Monday afternoon.

The UMass-Boston #3 doubles team of El Jan Daulo and Brian Sou were the only competitive doubles matchup with Howard Payne partners Carlo Flores and Jerrett Dawson winning 8-3.

All other HPU slots were won without dropping a point except #1 doubles (8-2 HPU- Edward Martinez, Ross Sidman), #1 singles (6-0, 6-2 HPU- Edward Martinez), and #3 singles (6-0, 6-2 HPU- Jeff Toyne).
Howard Payne improves to 3-7 in team play this season while UMass Boston falls to 0-3 on the year. 

The Yellow Jackets will travel to Kerrville on March 26th for a conference match with Schreiner University.
