The Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire around 11:45pm Saturday at a business in the industrial area.

A fire was reported at the Sivalls manufacturing plant in the 2300 block of Dickman Drive across the street from the Bert V. Massey Sports Complex.

Brownwood Fire Marshal Buddy Preston said that the fire was located just outside of the main building and burned some wooden pallets, pipe twine and trash.  Preston said that the fire did encroach inside of the building and fire crews made entry and extinguished it as well.

Preston did not know the extent of damage to the building caused by the fire. No word on the cause of the fire.
