Brownwood Youth Baseball Sign-Ups Deadline & Tryouts Schedule Announced

The last week of Brownwood Youth Baseball signups is underway and the deadline to register is Wednesday, March 28th.  Registration forms are available at Weakley-Watson Sporting Goods Store.  Cost is $35 per player or $50 for 2 or more children in the same household playing baseball.  Brownwood Youth Baseball is a program for ages 5-14.

There are 5 different divisions of play:

6U: (Ages 5-6) is T-ball. Each player will get 3 pitches from their coach. If they don’t hit those 3, they will get a chance off the T.

8U: (Ages 7-8) is a Machine pitch league.  Each player will get up to 5 pitches from a new wheeled pitching machine.

10U: (Ages 9-10) is a tight base, player pitch format with 60 ft bases.

12U: (Ages 11-12) is Freshman Open base with 70 ft bases.

14U: (Ages 13-14) is Sophomore league.  It is open base with the bases 80 ft.  Tryouts are slated for the first week in April at 6:15 pm at the Blue Fields at the Bert Massey Sports Complex.  The following dates are scheduled:

6U-T-ball will not tryout.

Monday April 2nd at 6:15pm

8U:  Machine Pitch 7-8 yr olds
14U:  Sophomore 13-14 yr olds on sophmore field.

Tuesday April 3rd at 6:15pm
12U:  Freshman 11-12 yr olds

Thursday April 5th at 6:15pm
10U:  Senior Midget 9-10 yr olds
