HPU’s Brittany Roberson Named WBCA All-American

RobersonBrittany2012The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today the 2012 WBCA Division III Coaches’ All-America Team and Howard Payne University senior Brittany Roberson was honored on the list.

Brittany Roberson earned the title of ASC West Division Player of the Year after averaging 13.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game. She also shot 48.8 percent from the field and led the league in 3-point percentage, connecting on 28 of 59 tries from beyond the arc. Roberson, who was selected to the All-Division first team, were also named to the prestigious six-player ASC All-Conference Team. Last week, she was named 2nd Team All-South Region by D3hoops.com.

The 10-member team was selected by a vote of the selection committee. The committee is comprised of one representative from each of the eight geographical regions and a chairperson.
