Brownwood Couple Earns Top Honors at 2 of Us Couples Tournament at Lake LBJ

The 2 of Us Couples tournament fished Lake LBJ on Saturday, March 10th despite the rain and cold.

 

“It was rainy and cold all day long, yet eight couples teams braved the weather and fished from 7am till 3pm,” said participant Jennetta Toeppich.

There were 23 total fish caught for a total weight of 50.76 lbs.

1st Place – Danny and Brenda Armstrong from Brownwood (pictured above) with 5 fish for a total of 14.60 pounds.   Brenda Armstrong also won the Ladies’ Big Bass with her nice 7.49 lb bass.

2nd place – Brian and Kelli Mater from Leander, Texas with 5 fish for a total weight of 12.85 lbs.  Brian Mater won the Men’s Big Bass with his 4.59 lb bass.

3rd place – Wayne and Tammy Manning with 8.06 lbs

4th place – Bruce and Jennetta Toeppich with 5.32 lbs

5th place –Cory and Deirdre Colyer with 4.29 lbs

6th place – Johnny and Ina Grice with 3.77 lbs

7th place – Mark and Veonna Doremus with 1.87 lbs

8th place – Gary Webb and Phyllis Crable
