Girl Scouts and their Partnerships

I have bought Girl Scouts cookies for a long time. Recently, however, it has come to my attention that Girl Scouts are associated with abortion. From the www.speaknowgirlscouts.com website: In 2004, the CEO of Girl Scouts USA, Kathy Cloninger stated on national television that, “We partner with many organizations. We have relationships with our church communities, with YWCAs, and with Planned Parenthood organizations across the country, to bring information-based sex education programs to girls.” This statement has never been retracted, GSUSA is now denying the national organization’s connections to Planned Parenthood. Additionally, GSUSA claims they do not take stand on matters of birth control or abortion, yet they continue to promote pro-abortion champions and resources to their members.

All  we are asking is that GSUSA be honest about this connection that CEO, Kathy Cloninger, has already confirmed on national television.

Why is it so concerning to us that the Girl Scouts organization is exposing girls to Planned Parenthood? Because Planned Parenthood teaches promiscuity to children, grooming future birth control and abortion clients. Because at Planned Parenthood sex-education events for youth, Planned Parenthood has distributed “educational” material, considered by many groups to be pornographic, to kids as young as 10 years old. To learn more about Planned Parenthood’s explicit sex education programs visit:
www.PlannedPromiscuity.com.

According to International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and IPPF have a “close partnership.”The $12 annual membership fee girls pay to GSUSA triggers a quota that is paid by GSUSA to WAGGGS. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and IPPF have a “close partnership.” The WAGGGS website advocates for “affordable, accessible, safe abortion.”

I would respectfully ask parents and sponsors to check out the links to Planned Parenthood from this site, and then inquire further about the link between Planned Parenthood and abortion and  the Girl Scouts. In the meantime, I will not be buying Girl Scout cookies that might in some way be a contributor to loss of life of any innocent baby aborted in the womb.
