IMG_6075In honor of Valentine’s Day, the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center is offering special adoption rates this weekend so many of their homeless animals can get a loving family to call their own.

Special adoption rates will be in effect Friday through Monday.  CTSAC will be open from 1-6pm on Friday and Saturday and 1-5pm on Monday honoring some fantastic adoption prices.

Several dogs that have been brought in that are already spayed and neutered only cost $14 to adopt!

Adult dogs will be ½ price at $75 and puppies are $100.  All special priced adoptions will still receive all the benefits CTSAC offers with adoptions which includes their spay/neuter, rabies shots, 1st booster shots and microchip for your new pet.

According to CTSAC’s Administrative Manager Freda Day, there are about 60 puppies up for adoption, so there’s a puppy available to suit just about anyone.

“The Animal Center is not an appropriate home for a dog, they get stressed out, sick and they all just need to get out of here,” said Day.  “One way we look at it is that one way or another; we are providing a bridge to something better for them.”

Although the shelter has seen a decrease in the number of intakes since they implemented their spay and neuter program, there are still plenty to be adopted.  The public is invited to come view the animals and find one to take home as their “new love.”

For more information, visit the animal center at 3016 Milam Dr. or give them a call at (325) 646 – 0617.
