Law enforcement arrests and reports released December 29, 2011.

Wednesday, December 28

*11:53am-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding found property.  According to the report, a set of keys were located in the 2700 block of Good Shepherd Drive and turned in.  The keys were placed in the evidence room at Brownwood Police Department for safekeeping until they can be claimed by their owner.

*12:48pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Graham Street regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject had called her by phone and threatened to beat her up and “kill her.”

*5:38pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding a reckless driver.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 51-year-old Gina Renee Duvall for Driving While Intoxicated.

*7:31pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Campa Drive to the report of a stolen vehicle.  According to the report, 42-year-old Kevin Waardenburg stated that his girlfriend had taken his car without permission.  After an investigation, it was determined that Waardenburg had been in an argument with his common law spouse about taking a car that they co-owned, the report.  Waardenburg continued to report the same incident repeatedly by calling 9-1-1.  Officers returned to the house and warned Waardenburg to stop placing the calls on the emergency line and of the consequences if he did not cease these actions, he would be arrested.  According to Brownwood Assistant Chief of Police James Fuller, only 16 minutes later, Waardenburg called 9-1-1 five times in a row.  A Brownwood Police officer was in dispatch at the time of the calls and told Waardenburg to stop calling the emergency line, according to Fuller.  Waardenburg then threatened the dispatchers by stating, “My parents are going to come up there and beat you up,” reported Fuller.  The police report states that because Waardenburg did not stop calling 9-1-1 and because of the threatening manner in which he spoke to the dispatchers, he was arrested.  Waardenburg was charged with Abusive Calls to 9-1-1 Service.
