JudyCoxA Going-Home Celebration for Judy Kay Steele-Cox, 57, of Early, will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 7, at New Beginnings Church with Pastor Kelly Crenshaw officiating. New Beginnings is located at 1001 Belle Plain in Brownwood, the street behind Underwoods.

She went home to be with her Lord on November 1, 2009, surrounded by her family. Judy was born July 22, 1952, in Comanche, Tx, to Floyd Steele and Bessie Burks-Steele. On July 26, 1968, she married the love of her life, Jerry Wayne Cox, in Comanche, Tx.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Cox; two daughters, Melissa Day and husband Marshall of Santa Anna, Jackie McMullen and husband Mike of Canyon Lake; Mother-in-law (Mamma), Lois Inez Cox of Early; grandchildren, Austin Majors, Mason Day, Cheyenne Majors, Ethan Day, Matthew Day, Faith McMullen, Peyton McMullen; brother, Donald Steele; two sisters, Shirley Bird and Linda Mayfield; and many loved nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was proceeded in passing by her Mom and Dad; brother Loyd Steele; and sisters, Wanda Bilberry and Betty Ballard.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Lighthouse Hospice. You are a true blessing from above.

Cremation is under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
