tyfl_articlepicThe Texas Youth Football League held its Super Bowl Saturday at Gordon Wood Stadium with the 3rd & 4th grade White Lions facing Mason and the 5th & 6th grade White Lions taking on Brady in two championship games.

The 3rd & 4th grade game was close with an 8-8 tie at the end of regulation play taking it to overtime.

In overtime, each team gets the ball on the 10 yard line with 4 downs to try and score.

The White Lions went first in OT, but came up short.  Mason just made it into the end zone on their 4th down winning the game with a final score of 14-8 and leaving the White Lions with the Super Bowl runner up position.

The 5th & 6th grade White Lions put up a good effort, but Brady was very physical and took the win shutting out Brownwood 38-0. The 5th & 6th grade White Lions also settle for runner up this season.
