BFD: Fire & Rescue Reports 11/14

BFDlogoSmallReports released for the week of November 6-12, 2011 from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 20 medical emergencies, 2 motor vehicle accidents, 2 fire calls, and 1 electrical problem.

Reports of interest include:

Sunday, November 6

*6:24am – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident on US Hwy 183N. The occupant was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Tuesday, November 8

*1:44am – BFD was dispatched to a fire in the 100 block of CC Woodson Road.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a very small grass fire which they then extinguished.

*6:05am – BFD was called to an electrical problem in the 1100 block of High Mesa.  Fire crews arrived to find no sparking on the utility pole.  Oncor was notified.

*1:57pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 300 block of Main Street. The occupants were loaded and transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Thursday, November 10

*6:27pm – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 1300 block of Austin Avenue.  Firefighters responded to the smell of gas inside a store.  After investigation, nothing was found.

*9:00pm – BFD was called to a fire in the 1500 block of Walnut Street. The incident was determined to be an outside trash fire.
