Law Enforcement Blotter 10/4

Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

Monday, October 3

*8:14am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue D regarding an assault.  The complainant stated that her husband assaulted her on October 2nd at approximately 2:30am and that she does wish to pursue charges, the report states.

*9:00am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to an unwanted person in the 900 block of Norwood.  The complainant stated that an unwanted person was in her house and would not leave.  When officers arrived, the subject identified as 17-year-old Dustin Edmiston, became verbally and physically abusive with them and physically resisted arrest.  Officers had to force Edmiston to the ground and charged him with Resisting Arrest/Search.

*9:48am-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce, Stripes Convenience Store, regarding found property.  According to the report, the manager of the store had found a computer next to the building.  The computer was placed into the property room at Brownwood Police Department for safekeeping until the owner can be identified.

 

*10:21am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the Grocery store manager observed a woman stealing a box of assorted chocolates and a greeting card, which were valued at $8.24.  The suspect was issued a citation for theft less than $50 and a criminal trespass warning.

*11:04am-Brownwood Police received a report of fraud.  After speaking with a female from Chicago, a report was made in reference to someone using the woman’s debit card information to purchase items from a store in California.

*6:25pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 4th Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.  According to the report, the bicycle was stolen from the complainant’s front yard and was described as a blue boy’s BMX bike.

* 7:12pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of Countryside regarding the violation of a protective order.  Charges are expected to be filed according to the report.

Tuesday, October 4

*1:57am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue H regarding an unwanted person.  During the investigation, it was alleged that the unwanted person at the house had left some property and the complainant believed it to be stolen.  Officers took custody of the property, which included a laptop, cell phone, glucose tester, and a makeup bag with various makeup products inside.  These items were placed in the property room at Brownwood Police Department.  At the time of the report, none of the items had been determined as stolen.

*Early Police arrested 44-year-old Shelly Coreen Duncan for Public Intoxication.

*Early Police arrested 54-year-old Shirley Ann Whisenhunt for Criminal Trespass of a Habitation.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
