Mary Sue Brogdon, age 70, of Brownwood passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, in Greenleaf Cemetery, with Rev. Dallas Houston officiating.

Mary was the owner of the Applegate Apartments, and worked for the telephone company for several years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a very active member with the UMYF. She was also a Pre School teacher at the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, Thad Ellis of Brownwood; three grandchildren, Brooke Ellis, Caden Ellis, and Kylie Ellis; two sisters and one brother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Brogdon, one son, Mark Ellis and three brothers.

In lieu of Flowers the family asks for memorials to be made to the Dr. Mark Ellis fund for children with Hope for Tomorrow, 1305 Early Blvd, Early Texas 76802.

Services have been entrusted to the care of Blaylock Funeral Home.
