The 2011 Howard Payne University football team reported for pre-season workouts on August 12th. 106 players wear the blue and gold in workouts and in today’s annual tradition, Pride Drill, held in Old Main Park on the HPU campus.
The HPU football Pride Drill is in its seventh year. There were more than four hundred fans in attendance as the Yellow Jacket football team ran four on four drills on a 10 yard by 8 yard field.
The Yellow Jackets will open the 2011 season at home versus Trinity University on Saturday, September 3rd. It will be a 6:00 pm kickoff time at Gordon Wood Stadium.
