Gussie Cadenhead, age 96, of Brownwood passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, in Greenleaf cemetery, with Rodney McGlothlin officiating.

She was a charter member of Melwood Baptist Church prior to joining The First Baptist Church in 1954. She sold Avon Cosmetics for many years and was a member of the Railhands Travel Club.

Survivors include her two sons, Jack and wife Patricia of Rotan and Bobby Cadenhead of Bluffdale; and three Ggrandchildren, Jack Jr. and wife Paige of Lake Texoma, Michael Cadenhead of Abilene, Andrea Blount and husband Doug of Crowley. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Truett Cadenhead and a daughter-in-law, Jean Cadenhead.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made the First Baptist Church of Brownwood. Services have been entrusted to Blaylock Funeral Home.
